Pumpkin Carving Fun

Over the weekend, my 2 boys carved their pumpkins with help from dad.  And I was right there with the camera.  Mostly because cleaning the guts of a pumpkin is not my idea of fun.  Taking pictures of it, well…is.

And with the exception of a meltdown from a one year old (I don’t even remember why**) and the frustration of a six year old who wasn’t allowed to use the giant carving knife, it went really well.  :)

**Come to think of it, we probably said no to the giant carving knife to Evan as well…

Annette & Beau {El Adobe, San Juan Capistrano Wedding}

Over the summer I photographed the picturesque wedding of Annette & Beau. You may remember them from their engagement session earlier this year.  They were married at El Adobe Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano, and had group photos at the beautiful train station right down the road.  Annette & Beau, I had a great day celebrating with and photographing you two!

San Juan Capistrano: Lisa & David {Engagement}

A couple months ago, I shot this amazing couple in the beautiful city of San Juan Capistrano.  They found and hired me through KCP Studios (I am one of the associate photographers for this fabulous studio) What a great spot for an engagement session.  We started at the train station and then moved to the cottage style homes behind the station.  There is gorgeous light over there.  Lisa and David brought their A game and worked every square inch of this place.  Hot, hot, hot!!  I instantly liked them when we met.  I think its pretty clear they had fun.  And so did I.

See how cute they are??  Love it, love them.

They are so playful with each other.  They love to laugh and had me giggling throughout the session.

Tom & Chiaki {Newland House & Barn Wedding}

So sorry that I’ve been away for so long.  I have alot to catch you up on, though.  Lots of weddings from all summer long.

Tom & Chiaki’s wedding is from a few months back.  They live in Japan, but Tom is actually from this area and I am really good friends with his mom.  They were so much fun to shoot.  Chiaki’s smile is infectious and she is as cute as a button.  And Tom is such a gentleman.  You can feel how crazy they are about each other.  I LOVED the colors they used.   My good friend Tiffany did their flowers and I think she did a remarkable job.

These girls were such dolls…they kept twirling to make their dresses poof.

The reception was at the Newland House in Huntington Beach…this place was too cute.  I hope to shoot there alot more.

A quick change into her kimono before we ended the celebration.

Tom & Chiaki, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day.  I loved every detail and every minute of it.

Go Huskies!!

My little slugger.  He never ceases to impress me…

His favorite position.  He LOVES to put on all the gear.

He didn’t believe me when I told him he runs with his tongue out.  Proof??

So technically we don’t count the runs at this age, but we all know Huskies won 27-26  :) :)

Annette & Beau {Almost Married}

It was a beautiful day in San Juan Capistrano, BUT, my original thought when I arrived was “oh, dear, Lord, we picked the wrong weekend to shoot”…because though it was Gorgeous, the Swallows Day Parade was being held on this. particular. day. Talk about a crowd!!  But, Annette and Beau just rolled with the punches.  And they looked amazingly hott doing it!!   I am so excited to be shooting their wedding in July.

Beautiful people, beautiful day….thanks for making my job so easy.

The Pierce Family {Family Session}

I’ve been friends with this clan for quite some time.  I looove this family to pieces and don’t think they could be any more awesome!!

I was especially excited when Kim asked me to shoot her family.  Her brother and his wife were flying into town finally(!) after being away for almost 3 years.  So it was a really nice surprise for Mom and Dad to have a family session done.  Here are a few of my faves from the afternoon.
